Training Project

Everything is absolutely FREE and courses run throughout the year. All equipment is provided – all you need to do is tune up!
The Youth Watersports Training Project is a FREE, part-time vocational training course for 16-25 year olds who want to become watersports coaches.The Project is open to all 16-25 year olds and you can join at any time (contact @beth to sign up!).
Sessions currently run on Wednesday afternoons, with some additional evenings and weekends, although we can organise a time-table to suit you!

Qualifications that we can help you achieve include:
British Canoe Union:
1 / 2 / 3 Star personal canoe and kayak skills.
Foundation Safety & Rescue Training.
Aquatic First Aid Level 1 & 2 (8 & 16hr).
UKCC:
Level 1 Paddlesport Coach.
Level 2 Paddlesport Coach (Training & Assessment).
RLSS:
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
Royal Yachting Association – Powerboat Level 2.
National Community Narrowboat Association – Certificate in Community Boat Management

Courses & Qualifications
Some courses are stand-alone one day or intensive courses (i.e. you can do an 8hour First Aid course in one day or a Pool Lifeguard Course over 5days) and some are long-term (i.e. to go from complete beginner to Level 2 Instructor would take around 18months depending on your level commitment).
We also provide help with CV writing / Presentation Skills / Work Experience placements etc.
